Bangladesh invites S Korea to invest, gets encouraging response

Bangladesh has invited South Korea to invest in its Special Economic Zones.

Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal conveyed the invitation to a visiting delegation of Korean International Co-operation Agency (KOICA) during a meeting at his office on January 21, 2019.

A government press note quoted Minister Kamal as saying in the meeting: “Bangladesh is an ideal place for investment. The future of our Special Economic Zones is very bright. There is big profitability in establishing business in Bangladesh’s Special Economic Zones.”

KOICA President Mi-kyung Lee promised to go back and uphold Bangladesh and the investment opportunities it holds. She was highly interested in investing in Bangladesh. She also exposed interest in working on the traffic problem in Dhaka city.
