Kornit unveils new sustainable polyester digital printing process

Kornit Digital, Israel based digital printing solution provider, has launched a new eco-friendly polyester printing process that prevents die migration, reports Apparel Resources.
Ployester; considered second largest category in T-shirt market, key in sports segments, growing athleisure and functional apparel segments; is printed predominantly by analogue solutions. These solutions are known to create major technological, cost and sustainability challenges.
The new Kornit NeoPoly technology, encapsulated with new process and ink set implementation, addresses these challenges making it an eco-friendly direct to garment Neo Pigment printing process. According to the company the process prevents dye migration on polyester without compromising on design, run, substrate or labour.
Both the ink set and the physical and chemical process have been specifically developed for low temperature curing and polyester enhancing functionalities developed to maintain fabric characteristics and provide super fastness- a process that prevent dye migration on polyester. These inks are Oeko-Tex and Eco-Passport certified and do not contains PVSs or toxic ingredient, the company claims.

The first system that encapsulates the Kornit NeoPoly Technology is the new Kornit Avalanche Poly Pro, for easy and cost effective short runs and on-demand printing on polyester garments.
